New Delhi: Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai said that there is a lot of evidence against the Hafiz Saeed, declared by the United Nations as a terrorist. Just a few days back, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahid Khakon Abbasi gave a clean chit to the conspirator Saeed, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack.
Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD) is considered as a cooperative organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The LeT was responsible for the execution of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. 166 people died in the attacks. In June 2014, the US had termed the Lashkar-e-Taiba as a foreign terrorist organization.
When Karzai was asked about the offer of clean chit to Saeed, the Pakistani Prime Minister, other than the Raisina dialogue, the former Afghan President told reporters, "Oh! There are so many evidence and everyone knows."
Abbasi had called Sayeed a Sahib in an interview on Geo TV on Tuesday. The Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief was released from Pakistan's detention in November.
