New Delhi: Government said that in 2017, 21 incidents of attack on Indian students studying in different countries of the world occurred. The top nine incidents have come from Poland. In the written reply to Abhishek Singh's question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh gave this information. According to Singh's statement on the attack on Indian students abroad, according to this, 21 such incidents were reported in the year 2017.

According to these figures, nine in Poland, three in Italy and two in Australia. An incident of attack on Indian students in America, France, Russia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Bangladesh and Guyana has surfaced.

Singh said that urgent steps have been taken to prevent the incidents of attack on Indian students and Indian students have been appointed welfare officers of Indian Embassies / High Commission in those countries where a large number of Indian students have been admitted.
