According to the information, about 24 miners were trapped inside the quarry due to a gas explosion in Marwar near the provincial capital Quetta. Quetta Deputy Commissioner Farooq Atik said that 16 people were killed in the accident.
Atik said, "We have recovered all the 16 bodies from deposited debris due to coal mines. "They told that six people who were stranded in the rubble were taken to the hospital for treatment. While one person is still trapped in the debris. According to rescue officials, a dozen of the miners killed are living in Khaibar Pakhtunkhwa's Shangla district.
On the second incident, an official told that at least nine miners were trapped inside the government mine quarried near Quetta. This incident happened in a coal mine of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC). Officials said the rescue workers removed two bodies. Two injured people have been taken to the hospital. He said that efforts are being made to remove five people trapped inside.
