American diplomat arrested in Pakistan
Slamabad police have said that a US diplomat's car hit two motorbike riders, in which both of them were injured. After this incident, the diplomat has been taken into custody. Police said that the diplomat Chad Rex was driving a Toyota jeep in the Constitution Avenue at the Osborn Secretariat Square, when the Jeep hit two motorbike riders.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Islamabad Police said that a US diplomat's car hit two motorcyclists, in which both of them were injured. After this incident, the diplomat has been taken into custody. The police said that the diplomat Chad Rex was driving a Toyota jeep in the Constitution Avenue at the Osborn Secretariat Square, when the Jeep hit two motorbike riders.
Police officer Najib-ur-Rehman told the media that the condition of the injured was stable. He said that the diplomat has been taken to the police station and after the confirmation of diplomatic status of the Ministry of External Affairs, he will be released. This is the second chance, when a US diplomat is involved in a road accident in Islamabad.
Earlier, on April 7, the death of a bike rider was killed by a US Embassy in the US Embassy in Islamabad and Colonel Joseph Emmanuel Hall of the Air Area. Islamabad High Court has directed the government not to let the diplomat leave the country till the court decides on the matter.
