ISLAMABAD: A court in Pakistan has sentenced a person to seven years in jail for the first time to spread pornography related to children. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 12 lakh on him.

The Pakistani media told that a court in Lahore convicted Sadat Amin on Thursday, deciding to be a member of the gang, spreading pornographic content related to world class children including Sweden, Italy, America and England.

Express Tribune reported that Amin was arrested by the 'Federal Investigation Agency' in April 2017 from Sargodha City, Pakistan. The agency recovered more than 6,50,000 porn videos and photographs of children from him.

Pakistan has decided to include child pornography in the category of crime in 2016 and impose a seven-year jail and fattening fines. Under the new amendment in the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2015, child trafficking has come under the category of crime in the country.

In August 2015, a case of sexual harassment of the child was stirred across the country. At that time, Hussain Khanwala village in Punjab province of Pakistan had revealed hundreds of child pornography videos and spread from there to the world.
