Washington: US President Donald Trump today signed an order related to imposing 25 percent on steel import and 10 percent aluminum on duty. This move of Trump could spill the global trade war. This disputed charge of the US came into effect within 15 days.
This move to impose duty on imports of steel and aluminum in America will initially affect imports from China. However, only two countries - Canada and Mexico - have been discontinued from this. This discount will only be done until the negotiation is complete with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Trump, after signing the order, said that other countries would have to negotiate with US Trade Representatives (USTR) if they want a discount from steel and aluminum import duty. The US says that if the charges are not in line with the US charges, then they will be charged in countries like China and India, according to them.
Nonetheless, the United States has imposed import duty on steel and aluminum, the United States's largest trading partnership, the European Union and China can also charge for its response.
