Pakistan handed over 145 fishermen to India

Indian fishermen were arrested in March this year when their boats went into Pakistani waters in the Arabian Sea.


Atari (Amritsar): A total of 145 fishermen crossing the Attari border of India returned home. Pakistani officials have released them from jail. All fishermen came to India through the Wagah-Attari border on the basis of 'Emergency Travel Certificate' issued by the Indian High Commission located in Islamabad.

Indian fishermen were arrested in March this year when their boats went into Pakistani waters in the Arabian Sea. A team of Indian doctors conducted the medical check-up of all the fishermen when they came home.
