The American Geological Survey (USGS) said that the 6.0 magnitude earthquake came in a depth of 43 kilometers. The USGS figure was different from the initial data of Indonesia Meteorology, Climate Science and Geophysical Agency.


Jakarta: A powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.0 today came to Indonesia's capital Jakarta. Because of this some buildings have been evacuated. No tsunami warning has been issued and there is no news of any injuries. The government agency gave this information.

The American Geological Survey (USGS) said that the 6.0 magnitude earthquake came in a depth of 43 kilometers. The USGS figure was different from the initial data of Indonesia Meteorology, Climate Science and Geophysical Agency. According to the agency's statistics, the intensity of earthquake was 6.4 and its depth was 10 kilometers.

The center of this earthquake was located in the southwestern part of the city, 130 kilometers away from the coast. Indonesia comes in a zone of earthquake where the probability of an earthquake is high. Earthquake tremors were felt on this entire island with a densely populated and damaged hundreds of homes and other buildings.
